A wine app for you and your friends
Decanté remembers the wine at your table: every bottle opened, who was there, and what each of you thought of it. So the one you all loved in June is still more than “that red with the bird on the label” by December.
Coming soon to the App Store, for iPhone.

How a table works
A table is whoever's there and whatever gets opened, for as long as it lasts: at a wine bar, a restaurant, someone's kitchen, or just you on the sofa.

Tap start wherever you're sitting. The place fills itself in, and friends tap yes to join you.

Take a photo of the label as the bottle's opened. Where it's from, the grapes and how it tastes come with it, without typing a thing.

Fill the glass as far as you liked it. Nope, good, really good, love: that's the whole review.

Your friends' tables show up as they happen. Had a glass of theirs? Tap “I had it too” and it's yours as well.
Your taste
No scores out of a hundred and no tasting notes. Just your word for each glass, the way you'd say it at the table.
From those, it finds the two or three kinds of wine you keep going back to, crisp whites, say, and big southern reds, and the kinds that just aren't for you.

At the restaurant
See at a glance which lines fit what you love, which ones your friends have had, and what they thought. Choosing for everyone? Snap it for the whole table.
Places
Every place has its own page: photos from people who've been, its wine list with the lines that fit you, and which friends went and what they had.

You went in May
These places are made up. Yours will be real.
After
Turn a table into an Instagram Story: the photos, who was there, what you drank, and the table's favourite scribbled on by hand. Your link goes on it too, so whoever sees it can add you and come along next time.

And it keeps track
Every country, region and grape you've had fills in on a map, and stamps turn up along the way.
Sort wines your own way: “buy again”, “for dad”, “summer”. Nobody else sees them, not even the people at your table.
It notices what you never enjoy, and steers you past it on the next wine list.
